| Ms. Herres received her nursing diploma from Mt. Sinai School of Nursing and her BS in nursing from Loyola University. She went on to earn a MS in community health nursing from Arizona State University and a MBA from Loyola University. Ms. Herres is Board Certified by American Nurse‘s Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse. Prior to joining Lake Forest Pediatrics in 1995, Ms. Herres served in a variety of nursing positions throughout the Chicago area, including a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for the Pediatric Sickle Cell Program at Michael Reese Hospital, Family Nurse Practitioner for Healthcare for the Homeless at Illinois Masonic Medical Center and a family care consultant for Children’s Memorial Hospital. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners, and has served as chairperson for the northern region of the INA Council of Nurse Practitioners. She has a special interest in international healthcare of children and adoption. Ms. Herres is married with three sons. She enjoys travel, camping and boating. |
