| Dr. Burton grew up in Buffalo, NY, and attended Denison University, finishing in 1975. She graduated from the Duke University Medical School in 1979. Her internship and residency in pediatrics were done at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She was selected to be the Chief Resident at Children’s Memorial in 1982–83. Dr. Burton began practice with a group in the northwest suburbs before joining Lake Forest Pediatric Associates in 1985. Dr. Burton is an instructor of clinical pediatrics at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, and is on the medical staff of Lake Forest Hospital and Children’s Memorial Hospital. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Burton and her husband have two daughters and a dog. |
